Self-Cleaning Electric Range

Installation Guide

Tools Needed:

  • Adjustable wrench
  • Level
  • Screwdrivers (flat and Phillips)
  • Pliers
  • Tape measure
  • Voltage tester

Step-by-Step Installation

  1. Choose Installation Location: Select a location with proper ventilation and adequate clearance from combustible materials.
  2. Remove Packaging Materials: Remove all shipping materials, protective films, and transit bolts from the oven.
  3. Electrical Connection: Connect to a dedicated 240V, 50A circuit with proper grounding. Follow local electrical codes.
  4. Position the Range: Carefully slide the range into position, ensuring it's level with adjacent cabinets.
  5. Level the Oven: Adjust the leveling legs to ensure the oven is perfectly level from front to back and side to side.
  6. Anti-Tip Bracket: Install and secure the anti-tip bracket according to instructions to prevent tipping.
  7. Initial Burn-off: Run the oven at 400°F for 30 minutes to burn off manufacturing residues before first use.

Self-Cleaning Process Explained

Preparation

Remove oven racks and all cookware. Wipe up heavy spills before starting cycle.

Locking

Door automatically locks during cleaning cycle for safety. Cannot be opened until cool.

Heating Phase

Oven heats to 900°F (480°C) for 2-3 hours, burning off all food residues.

Cooling Phase

Oven cools gradually over several hours. Door remains locked until safe temperature.

Clean-up

Troubleshooting
