Countertop & Over-the-Range Models

Installation Guide

Tools Needed:

  • Phillips screwdriver
  • Measuring tape
  • Level
  • Drill (for over-the-range models)
  • Stud finder
  • Pencil

Step-by-Step Installation

  1. Choose Installation Location: Select a location with proper ventilation, away from heat sources, and with adequate electrical access.
  2. Check Clearances: Ensure minimum clearances are maintained (3 inches on top, 2 inches on sides and back for countertop models).
  3. Electrical Requirements: Connect to a properly grounded 120V, 60Hz, 15-20A dedicated circuit. Do not use extension cords.
  4. Countertop Installation: Place on a flat, stable surface. Ensure ventilation openings are not blocked.
  5. Over-the-Range Installation: Mount the mounting plate to wall studs, ensuring proper support for the microwave's weight.
  6. Ventilation Setup: Connect ductwork for external venting (if applicable) or set to recirculating mode with charcoal filter.
  7. Final Check: Ensure all screws are tightened, the unit is level, and there's no obstruction to door opening.
Warning: Installation of over-the-range models should be performed by a qualified installer. Improper installation may void warranty.

Troubleshooting
