Gold Series Ice Maker System

Installation Guide

Tools Needed:

  • Adjustable wrench
  • Screwdrivers (flat and Phillips)
  • Level
  • Water line kit (if not included)
  • Teflon tape

Step-by-Step Installation

  1. Prepare Refrigerator Location: Ensure refrigerator is properly leveled and has adequate clearance for ventilation.
  2. Connect Water Supply: Connect 1/4-inch copper water line to refrigerator water inlet valve. Use only approved materials.
  3. Install Water Filter: Install Whirlpool EveryDrop™ water filter (if equipped) following arrow direction on filter housing.
  4. Ice Maker Assembly: If ice maker is not factory installed, attach ice maker to freezer compartment following mounting instructions.
  5. Electrical Connection: Plug refrigerator into dedicated 120V, 60Hz, 15A grounded outlet. Do not use extension cord.
  6. Water Line Purge: Flush water line for 3 minutes to remove air and debris before connecting to refrigerator.
  7. Initial Ice Production: Allow 24 hours for first batch of ice. Discard first three batches of ice.
Warning: All water line installations must comply with local plumbing codes. Professional installation recommended.
